2009 Beer & Sake Festival

What better way to start of the sizzling San Diego Summer than with a thrilling Spirits and Food Festival!

The Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana (JSSDT) is hosting their 2009 Beer and Sake Festival at the San Diego Marriott in Del Mar, on Thursday June 25, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The festival will showcase imported Japanese beers and local microbrews, multiple flavors, styles and quality levels of sake, "Japanese rice wine," and culinary creations from the most talented chefs in San Diego who are redefining Japanese cuisine.

The 2009 Beer and Sake Festival is also the official host of the SushiMasters California Regional Competition presented by the California Rice Commission, featuring California's top sushi chefs in a live competition that challenges their mastery of sushi art and style.

This charity tasting event raises proceeds to Support the Japan Society's numerous educational programs. Tickets are $40 for JSSDT members and $60 for general admission. For more information please visit www.japan-society.org or call (858) 467-1727.
